Wonder if this promo will get extended as it expired on the 31st December, along with many other Amex bonus points partners too...

Wonder when it will get updated/removed from the Amex site..

A great offer that will earn me nice boni points, once they post to my account but need to make a few more bookings for travel in 2011 now...

I'm in same boat, need to book hotels OS, hope it comes back soon.

Called Amex today as I too have some upcoming travel to organise and enquired about this offer - the person I spoke to couldn't confirm so took my details and said they would contact MR.Sure enough I just got a call back (none of my other cards would ever actually call me...) and he said that they confirmed the offer had been extended for 2011 and that the website would be updated by the end of the week.He confirmed that the correct website must be used when booking (I've used this before and got all my points without any hassle). Here's to many more bonus points!!

Has anyone recieved points who didn't book through the specific Amex site for Hotelclub at Earn 10 Membership Rewards Bonus Points for every $1 spent on transactions of $350 or more.

I.E. They double dipped by booking through the general site or another sub site like the Velocity one for Hotelclub but still paid with their Amex?

Great news, do you have a link to "correct web site?"
As skeltonl pointed out above this is the only site that is meant to provide bonus points.

On the bonus points MR page on the right hand side this link is also in the terms and conditions box.

I've booked using this specific page before and not had any issues with getting the points.

So I book 3 night Bangkok and 3 nights in Hong Kong (about $800), they will be put together at checkout and as over $350 will get the said "earn 10 Membership Rewards Bonus Points for every $1 spent on transactions of $350"?.

I've not found a way to do this - when you choose a hotel and input your dates etc you choose the room type and go to checkout. It then asks for details specific to that stay, you pay for that stay and then it prepares your voucher only for that stay... You can see most of this by having a play around with the site and going as far as the page that asks for your details - you'll clearly see what it requires and once you click the button you are charged for it (as the CC details are also requested on that page).
If anyone has a way to combine bookings would love to hear it!

Mine are OK 2 nights BKK just over the $350 threshold at AUD$370 and 3 nights HKG AUD $602, toto of AUD972, I should get on my calc 9720 points.

Website still not updated

I hope you have the name of the person you spoke to

Website now updated!!

Amex Bonus Rewards | Partner - HOTELCLUB.COM.AU

HotelClub: Offer valid for bookings made between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011.

But when going to HotelCLub.com.au the T&Cs there not updated yet!!!

So which one do I choose now?

Hotelclub/AMEX with 5 points per dollar;
or
Hotelclub regular with no penalty for Amex and 7% cash back per booking to be used on next trip

Do our members prefer 500 points or $7 on a $100 room?

I would value 500 points at about $10-$15 depending on redemption.
