Further data point for the thread- logged into my Velocity account today and noticed I had been comped WP (gain not retain) from a SC balance of 994, albeit with forward bookings for later this week with a projected earn of 20SC. Thanks VFF!

One more - I was bumped with the same number last week. I was considering calling to beg as I really, really wanted to visit the EY F lounge on the way back home from Europe - thankfully I didn't have to. I'd have bumped up within a couple days anyway, but the gesture was really, really appreciated and made the trip much easier to bare.

Massive thank you to VFF from me too. And to AFF members...but I'll wait for the pack to come to post a real thanks!
 
Sorry to revive an old thread. I am in a similar situation to OP, i was 2 status credits short on a 22 September review date. Another 6 from from fly buys landed at beginning of October but I think I was reviewed today and downgraded to silver.

Is it too late to call the customer centre ( when they open on Monday) and seek a manual review? I am currently on a trip to NZ flying VA so will be sending 70 SCs into my account this week. I would have thought in the circumstances I could continue to enjoy gold benefits.
