1 award seat. Two bookings.

What happens if there is one Classic award seat left. But two bookings are made for two pax at the exact same time? Are two seats released?

I suspect it will never be "at the exact same time" - potentially measured in milliseconds - and the 2nd booking would miss out. Probably a risky approach unless either it is OK for 1 person to fly in the selected cabin, or you are prepared to accept a rebooking fee! I have "at the same time" booked a JASA for me and a Classic Award for Mrs Aus ATC on the same flight (using 2 different browsers), but I knew there were at least 2 U Class fares available.

Thanks. I thought perhaps of both were at the booking state - eg payment - and submit was pressed at the same time it would go through, but perhaps not?

Being WP, if the person that missed out was you in that theoretical situation you could always ring up and request an additional award seat be released.

not sure about the strike rate for classic releases, I haven't had any success but its has been all flights to LAX.
