QF41 Cancelled - options to get to CGK on time

I was referring to this form https://www.qantas.com/au/en/support/contact-us/customer-care-feedback-form.html There's an option to manually enter flight details if it can't find them automatically. The option says "Flight not listed? Enter the flight details here."

I'd personally submit your request through their web form. You could try calling too.

Connecting from EK to RJ in DXB - need to collect bags

According to Our partner airlines and railways | Emirates United Kingdom, Emirates has an interline agreement with RJ, so as long as you're on one ticket, I believe your bags should make it all the way though.

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Considering you've put this on the Oneworld thread, you should know that the single oneworld connection to Mauritius is on BA to London. The other non Oneworld Qantas partners I can see that fly there are Air France to Paris and Emirates to Dubai. I don't expect Qantas points, or the Qantas...

Dubai Australia in classic reward seats?

Also note that Emirates redemptions charge an extortionate amount of fees on top, meaning it might not be worth your while even if you find redemptions. I'd play with options via Asia, as well as looking for different options from Europe in the first place. Flightconnections.com can be really...

Vegemite under 100mls for carry on

I'd bet post-security that the duty free sells extortionately expensive Vegemite.

    Qatar Airways bans Youtuber

In the comments of the original review video in question, I saw comments from QR staff talking about how the airline treats them very poorly, with plenty of upvotes and engagement on the comments. I wonder if it's the fact that his video elicited this kind of commentary to come out, more than...

We'd like your feedback on Australian aviation policy

The sign of good regulation is when the regulated companies don't like them. Otherwise you wouldn't need the government to force them to look after their customers.

Can I ask for bags to be checked to SYD only on CBR-SYD-SG flight?

You should be fine to do that, getting bags short checked is pretty routine. It's the official government advice to do that too. https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/tourist-refund-scheme/trs-common-questions

We'd like your feedback on Australian aviation policy

I agree this is important, and is a component of the equivalent laws in Europe. In a retail context, Australia has strong consumer laws, but you'll find that people often don't know their rights and are mislead by service staff or retailers when it comes to matters of refunds and warranties. It...

We'd like your feedback on Australian aviation policy

On the topic of an "AU261" I think this would absolutely go a long way in better aligning the incentives of airlines to do the right thing by their customers. Late flights, cancelled flights and downgrades should be a rare occurrence, not a free tool airlines can use without consequence. The...

Does anyone pay to receive an SMS flight itinerary?

I recently saw this being offered for a cool £2.99 on Ryanair. Anyone keen for a $6 SMS?

Even booking a regular cash flight to Amsterdam would be an option. A lot of the time when I look at points flights in Europe, just the surcharges alone cost more than paying cash for a ticket, before you even consider the value of the points.

Article: Qantas’ Mysterious Downgrade Compensation Policy

For those playing along at home, this is the EU downgrade law: Translating the distances to Australian flights, an inter-east-coast flight would be in the 30% band, an east-coast to Perth or NZ would be in the 50% band and basically anything international would be in the 70% band. The more...

A comedy of errors: a tale of booking classic rewards

From memory they also didn't have a direct flight on the days I was looking. Oh and another beautiful thing about the names... There were four travellers: Me who has the QFF account My mum who shares my surname My dad who shares my surname My wife who doesn't share my surname The agent...

How do I Check Actual Date Of Account Closure?

Do you keep bank paperwork? You would've received a letter when you closed the card which would be dated. Edit: whoops, just realised this is old. Sorry.

A comedy of errors: a tale of booking classic rewards

I thought people may enjoy hearing about the remarkable comedy of errors I've enjoyed this past few months dealing with a Qantas classic rewards booking on Royal Jordanian. This isn't a request for help or anything of the sort, just a chance to give you all the opportunity to enjoy some...

Flying to Cappadocia - Which airport?

NAV is slightly closer, assuming you're staying in Goreme. I'd probably go for that since it build's a tiny extra bit of buffer in case of delays on your way in, and won't make a material difference to your actual arrival time.
