Holy geeze that doesn't sound fun at all. Think I'd be driving at a snail's pace.

    What cheeses me off

WCMO is having to burn more fuel because I need to use the car AC to demist the windscreen, even though climatically without the AC is perfectly fine. Guess I shouldn't be so annoyed - no one should drive through a misty/foggy windscreen.

    What cheeses me off

Today's WCMO draws on a post that I recently put in the chit chat thread and inspired by this video: I just don't get it - some of the behaviours they are discussing, you wouldn't even do it in your country! Why in another one? I hate how people think there's an aura of invincibility to them...

At least you have ventilation. Many properties, including chain ones, do not offer or switch off the ability to have any sort of ventilation (heating or cooling) during some seasons. And they don't have windows that you can open. I don't know about you but I dislike the air becoming stale more...

    Qantas First Class menus

The funny thing is that "dine anytime" is a fairly new concept (in any class of service, viz. F or J). Sure, Qantas haven't moved with the times (pun intended) on this, but even CX were only in the last five years or so touting that they had anytime dining. Some carriers (TG, LX and LH to name...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Only if you get an A330 or a B787 equipped with those seats. The B737 seats do not have this feature.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

A few things worth considering on this redeye: The block time (gate to gate) is 3h 35min. Pretty short, and then... You can't recline before the seat belt sign comes on. Neither when you're about to land. Sure, 737s don't have supreme recline in J, but... advantage to those who can fall asleep...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

PER-MEL redeyes are barely over 3.5 hours. If I had to fathom a guess, expect maybe one option to be a toasted panini and another to be a soup. Served with a sweet of some kind and usual bakery offering. No breakfast offering, but if you ask the FA politely, you might be able to ask them to...

    Qantas First Class menus

Amenity kit could definitely be better! But the overall industry trend isn't looking great in this regard. Even if it doesn't say it on the menu, I would have thought a polite request to take the meal at almost any time would be reasonable. (This is different to truly "any dish on the menu at...

Now I just wish they would bring back the tasting menu.

Well, because some things are at least worth trying. Now, I get it. There's plenty that will say they knew this was a bad idea right from the start. Heck, you could even quote other places in Australia or around the world, and will probably come up with suitable evidence. But if we took that...

    What cheeses me off

File under "ideas that would be good if people followed the rules". Basically same with bikes (including hire bikes). Two idiots cause an accident and everyone wants to ban scooters (not just the idiots who caused the accident). A hit and run driver (of a car) would be unlucky to have their car...

    Qantas First Class menus

Glacier toothfish is supposed to be quite a delicacy. Up there with the likes of Chilean sea bass. Have to admit the description on the menu didn't seem to appeal - if not only for the fish - so glad to hear it was a winner (especially, as you said, your palate may have been starting to tire out).

Can't comment on the wine list, but the food menu actually looks pretty good.

Americans have the world by the balls in quite a few arenas of technology. That's why if you want your red text to appear in the middle of the screen - web page or GUI - you'll be forced to write  color and  center. (Yes, the original WCMO post has now taken a new turn off....)

    What cheeses me off

Getting off-topic, but... Oddly enough, I still remember when I joined (or rather, Mum and Dad applied for me to) QFF in 1994, the brochure that came with it that explained the ins and outs of earning and burning, the programme was still based on kilometres. I still remember that it was 1...
