Seems old that they won't sell Basic Economy fares on their website to non US customers. Australian travel agents have access to Basic Economy fares converted at the BSR so as long as they don't charge any fees that might be the best bet?

Hope this isn't the case going forward, is going to be a hassle flying from Perth, our connection time through to LAX is usually 5 hours. Our connections to NZ can also be as long as 5 hours. I'll be flying through Sydney in two weeks with a 5 hour connection so we'll see how it goes!

Sad news for Perth today, Etihad has announced the removal of the Perth route from 01 October 2018. As a Virgin Frequent Flyer really sad to see us lose another option out of Perth after losing the NZ partnership too.
