I've just booked the flights, called to upgrade just 1 passenger so they had to split the reservation. So upgraded my partner first. Now hoping another business seat becomes available soon. I've checked straight away and so far nothing. Will check again in a couple hours.

No. Same price on one day option and on another day, same fare class (T) but a $100 more. Either way, they say its only open to new bookings.

This is the second agent i've tried. Now they are saying that there is a different inventory for new bookings and existing bookings, even though its the same fare class!
