Qantas Codeshare Partnership with Malaysia Airlines

Australia has an open skies agreement with Malaysia and Singapore so it doesn't need to go through IASC. Same as how you don't see Qantas applying to IASC for flight to New Zealand. There are some exceptions to this with one example a recent Indigo codeshare to NZ which required approval as it...

NAB Classic overseas access fees changing 5 November 2025

I had a citibank debit card that I held for years, once up was released mainly didn't use it but kept for emergencies. It got transferred over to NAB and then they closed it due to inactivity, I was a little annoyed as it was handy to have a spare debit card with no fees but no there is no benefit.

I'm in the QF Lounge thread

Brisbane I've seen them tell people to change shoes and Melbourne I've seen someone at the bottom of the escalator at peak times. I agree never seen it enforced in Sydney and they probably need to.

    Experiences on Qantas staff travel

QF allow it at QF lounge where you’re guested by someone on a regular ticket and are entering as their guest. Other oneworld airlines like Cathay have things like their own status members (only, not OWS/E) can access CX operated lounges prior to CX staff travel but nothing else.

    Qantas starts international wifi

More bandwidth on new sats plus no shaping currently. This may change but on the NBN sats Qantas is bandwidth limited whereas the new ones less so. Air NZ seem to have a similar thing only provisioning so much bandwidth to each aircraft probably due to cost.

OWE or VA Plat on QR flights

Historically Oneworld Emerald had greater recognition on QR. VA Plat benefits were limited to priority check in, boarding and lounge access only. With the introduction of the wet leases this changed and now VA Plat's get free seat selection (including exit rows), priority baggage and extra...

Status Credits from Singapore Air to Virgin Australia Denied on a technicality

I've been caught out by this as well. A dumb mistake as I thought I could redeem a few left over krisflyer miles. It does say this on the VA website that if you use Krisflyer miles then credits aren't earnt...

    Qantas flights to Palau

Yes I know the screenshot didn't get row 30 but otherwise this is what I'm working with noting we're still ~6 months out. I'd assume this flight is weight restricted?

    Qantas flights to Palau

I've got the ROR-BNE flight booked next year and have the option of either row 4 or exit rows 13/14 for US$60. Given it's a 5hr 45min flight I'm thinking it's worth the extra $ but not sure if row 4 or the exit is better.
