That’s the same as Sydney domestic - if you want to be picked up by a relative, the area is almost a km away, and your relatives have to pay a fee to get into the area where all the suckers are waiting…. Piss poor….
In the same way that I have a number of items in my car for 'just in case' stuff. So far, have had no need to use them, and I'm not intending to take them out.
I don’t like being pedantic, but there is no such word as ‘upguage’. Try upgrade perhaps? It’s similar to when I read somewhere that an aircraft that had been grounded for technical reasons, was ‘ungrounded’??
In January we were flying SYD-PER on a cash ticket with a points upgrade to J approved. The weather was dodgy and QF were flying forward as many flights as they could, and we flew out two flights earlier, and luckily enough, still had J seats. Hope the same applies to you...
That said, I would suggest get on a bike. I did much the same as you, and now have 2 x TKR since 2009. I have to admit being fit though, at 40 I was the same weight as the day I joined the Navy as a 15 year old, a measly 10 stone 3 pounds....
Seems like the trend is spreading, a letter to the editor in this morning's West says 'When did "active wear" become acceptable to wear at the movies, pub, shopping centre, cafe or restaurant?'....
I can well remember the very full 747s flying in from Japan every second day or so, IIRC it was Sydney for the Opera House, then Ayres Rock, and then Cairns for the Barrier Reef trip and then home. Whatever happened to them? I was in Cairns for a few days when that was going on and I do recall...
I have had similar problems, but have never looked to see which type of terminal was being used, will do so in the future. The issue is becoming less of a problem though....
