Lounge Dragons Mel don't know the rules

Yup! however, once in a while you'll have that beautiful moment where the 'meansome threesome' behind the marble counter, gets overridden by a WP1 or a CL Member who guests your extra plus one. We do have a pretty great QFF community in that regard. We usually seem to have each others back in...

Lounge Dragons Mel don't know the rules

Some times you just get a dragon, but most of the time (except QFL, they can be tough) They're pretty good to me. Platinums', can also on arrival, have 2 guests in business lounge, I thought????????

AMEX lounge opening at SYD airport - 16th December 2014, T1 next to gate 24

Re: AMEX lounge in SYD International airport. 100% correct. Centurion is $5000/per year, titanium is expensive ;). Though, they have eased a little on the 'invite only' part.

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

Thanks drron. Yes. Well, those lucky enough to have an Amex card are on a good ticket ATM. AMEX seems to have made a deal with Ettihad/Virgin (for a while). They have had some unbelievable deals - Triple points + pay business get free upgrade to First. It's a horrible route if going to South...

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

Apologies for not updating my Flight Tracker. Not on the top of my list of things to do, however it does need a lot of updating, and can be a bit tedious. Will get on to it Spongbob.

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

LOL, Cute! "A smile and manners will get you were money can't" I'm not Platinum with Virgin, but I still got one on the house in Y for good behaviour. I do have a cute/embarrassing story on a Y flight with QF, (They were so lovely to me) Apparently QF do not serve Gin in Y, which I found out...

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

Totally agree with you, 50 shades of grey (never read it, joking!) I'm not boycotting them, or trying to start one by any means. As that would just be a joke, (on me!) "I'm taking my $5,000 -$19,000 a yr and my 120,000 points and leaving!" However, it's a quandary for the everyday people, no...

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

(and not having it paid for by a company or government department) The FF schemes have become almost a worldwide obsession but for self funded travel, constantly chasing 'the next level' or salivating at the thought of finally getting 'into the lounge' can be an extremely expensive hobby. The...

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

Sorry, was too busy with my unicorn to reply to your VERY, EXTREMELY, valid comment of "Government department", Even friends in the lower tiers of COMM Bank get WP status, just 'cause! That is another political issue that maybe I should not bring up here.

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

LOL, YES! FREE! :-) I agree to a degree, with your point and maths, but anything over 5 maybe 6 hours, I've learnt the hard way. If I can, I will be in J. That been said, please do not get me wrong, I have flown Y A LOT! (even with jetstar, no high horse here. Maybe a unicorn, but no high horse)

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

I appreciate your comment, because to be told "You should have been smarter and preselected online" was an absolute shock to me. I'm not an unreasonable person and am always polite and courteous to all staff, as I have been staff! (Not on a plane obviously!) (o.k, o.k except one time, actually...

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

Oh no, no correction! I absolutely agree with you on all your points. JPN- SYD, HKG- SYD SUCK! Yes, their product and service on every international and domestic (surprisingly, not when I was put in dom Y, they were amazing, almost like they took pitty on me for a WP in Y) has not even come...

    Telstra Travel Pass

It's all data. I mean - look at the telco booths when you land into any asian airport - everyone sells data only sim plans. Oh "Canadia" (JOKING!!) AKA Trippin the rift, I almost feel like booking a flight to the Royal Pines on the GC just to meet YOU :-) The fun we would have :-) Back to...

Which of these 2 formulas do you use to calculate value of your FF redemptions?

I've had this debate with my ex many times, and IMO it comes down to how much you paid for the points in the first place? For example, when QANTAS offers 10points/$1 for flight vouchers (which is money you would spend anyway) or David Jones 8-10/$, Iconic 4-8/$ Ebay 2-4/$, Gift Vouchers 5/$, WW...

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

LOL. Yes 99, I think you're right. What took me so long? I think I may have a lot less flying years and experience than most on here, but I'm working on that. To be fair the new food menu on QF SYD- PER is a huge improvement, It was a lot better than SYD-BKK.

How does qantas expect one to stay loyal with a consistently poor product

Thank you QF WP for the clarification and mediation, I now understand his writing manner. However, I clearly state in my original post "Enough is enough", "Decided to fly with Emirates". I have been consistent through out the thread in making my point, ie. "I would be an idiot to continue to fly...

What a fantastic contribution to the conversation you just provided. - However, do you know what's even more embarrassing Tripper? YOU just commented on a thread that you obviously haven't read properly. I suggest you go back and do a little re reading before throwing around personal insults.
