No it was the international business lounge.

Not in BNE. Flying EK F and Skywards Gold. Refused access to the QF lounge as ‘only for EK Plat’. No seats left in Plaza Premium so went and sat by the gate for an hour - quieter and more comfortable.

I thought that I understood the eligibility based on FF status although the Qantas website unhelpfully doesn't specify which lounges different levels of OW of EK FF schemes can access which lounges. I wonder if the page was meant to have more functionality than it has - possibly a link to...

I flew CHC-SYD last night in F and was the only pax. The snack basket was provided. I thought the food was much on a par with previous trips on this flight both in quality and quantity. Wines were good (although some confusion when I was given the DXB-JFK list which did have the DP rose!)

Well worth trying the CX F lounge as you will be in T3....

It was up and running (and quiet) at 13.10 when I arrived at the airport today.

I don't think there is any issue. If it is suggested that there is a poblem then there are plenty of houses and businesses very close by that could be your 'destination'.

Answering my own question I have contacted BA and they have replied that the desks open 3 hours before departure.

Mrs PK and I were in the SYD F lounge yesterday. She had the Corn,kale and zucchini salad and pronounced it both healthy and tasty. I had the tartine from the market inspirations section which was very good as well. The decanter wine was a 2012 Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier which was drinking well.

They will be happy to sell you the upgrade but it will be at the cost of the full fare difference and almost certainly with a change fee based on your ticket T&Cs.

I will trying the direct flight DXB-AKL in 3 weeks (in F). It is useful to me to get to Akl 3 hours earlier and my time in the Syd lounge on the way out tends to be quiet anyway!
