Play the Frequent Flyer Top 10 Game

How would an NZ winner get their car serviced? Ship it to Sydney?

    Something better than Platinum?

I used to do that in my old days at Mobil Aviation - the company policy was 2 engines and 2 pilots. No wonder Avgas costs so much.

    Something better than Platinum?

I overheard a converstaion the other day with respect to the usual SYD-MEL run. The NAB exec in question was surprised that his counterpart flew commercial, albeit biz for the 55 minutes. Has anyone flown a charter between SYD and Mel (or anywhere else for that matter) - if you get 8 or 10...

    Your travel in 2006...monthly updates

I haven't on the site for a long time and the QFF site is down - only have done a trip MEL - Mackay return since but am off to Perth this week. Not much travel so thinking I may need a DONE4 to top the SC's up in 8 months time....will no doubt be asking the experts for advice beforehand.

Has anyone ever been charged excess Baggage ??

It happened once to my wife on CX I think whilst travelling J to London. What annoyed her was the really fat person in front of her in the queue who probably lugged an extra 40kg around his waist. I am really surprised that with the low margins in the industry (and current high fuel costs)...

Longest "Single flight number" trip - what's your

I read a story in The Weekend Australian on QF108 as they had a reporter on board travelling privately. Pushed back from the gate only to sit on the tarmac for 12 hours and go back to the same gate. Sounded like a nightmare as a new flight crew was required to be flown in from LA. You'd want...

    ozjet

I took the plunge and flew Ozjet for the first time today. 8am flight MEL - SYD. It departed about 30 mins late and was about 75% full. What was really refreshing was dealing with enthusiastic staff. I'd definitely use them on PER runs, particularly if I needed to catch a red eye.

Article: OzJet Says Business on Budget... Load Factors 50%

Due to a logistical stuff up (ie I have bought a house in Melbourne but am still working in Sydney) I am commuting on a weekly basis. This week my QF fares were $693 return for economy. I've earned over 2100 SC's for the year so don't need to chase any more. I'm going to try O7 next week -...

    QP in Sydney

It is a bit OT, but I am trying to think of when I was last in an airport that didn't have building works going on. In MEL the shops on the way to gates 20-29 have been under contstruction for about a year.

Does anyone know what renovations are taking place to the QP entrance in T3 at Sydney ?

    Jetstar customer service

I agree with NM, they do a great service for QF passengers by taking away a great majority non business / first time travellers and kids. They just need to get their tattoo policy sorted.

    New Adelaide airport

I just noticed on my Amex a credit from qantas for $12.10. I do not know what it was for, but I did fly to Adelaide in Decmeber. I think it may be a refund of some sort like $11 + GST fee for 2 pax.

An Exclusive Offer for Qantas Frequent Flyers

I'll enter it, but I may be too busy flying around to all those Commonwealth countries, using my $200 Caltex voucher, and reflecting on the fantasic time I had in DisneyLand.

Opinions please - QF Club becomes PR bazaar

True, I do not dwell as I walk through, although I was referring to Sydney T3, not Adelaide.

Opinions please - QF Club becomes PR bazaar

I agree with Platy on this - whilst I'm not asking for a sanctuary, sitting down in the QP I see a shop that seems to slowly be getting bigger, some latest promo going on where a 2nd service desk used to be, no chance of getting a free newspaper after 9am (unless that orange Financial Times...
