Is it just me, or is it the end of an era?

Really? All I remember is any F availability being booked between 364 and 330 days out by QF members, and very little left when the window opened for AAdvantage members. Seems to be business as usual.

QA and BF Ghost availabilty on AA website

Danger was being a little cheeky. The airlines you see there are QF and BA, not QA and BF. ;)

    QANTAS support

Sorry serfty, I've got no hard evidence to contradict you, but I remember seeing 30 days on the website when I joined back in 2003. Maybe not in the T&C, perhaps it was in the joining gumf. But it was definitely there

    ANZ 10,000 Bonus Points Offer

Oh, that's happened to me. Not the next day, mind, but within a couple of weeks. No change in circumstances etc.

PAY YOUR RENT AND BOND WITH AMEX/Visa/Mastercard [merged threads]

Be careful with this site. You'll need to check with your agent before signing up. Mine was listed properly on the site, but when I contacted my agent they'd never heard of it.:?:

Qantas Amex Ultimate - Reduced APR or 1/2 Annual fee

12.74% is heading into low-rate card territory. Certainly is attractive if you have a big points earning purchase that you will be paying off over several months. 12.74% is better than 18.xx%, but I would be taking the lower annual fee if given the choice.

Need to find a Qantas Club corp. program

I can confirm that there is NO joining fee for moving into or changing corporate schemes. Just use your existing QFF number on the form and all will be well

SG to WP on next trip to USA

The OP said he went from NB to SG, so he should have no problems getting to WP on this trip. As long as he is still in the same qualification year, of course  .

    Qantas Club Renewal

I can't see it either. Seems like the Frequent Flyer Club they were running has disappeared, but maybe a site admin will chime in. Looks like you'll have to find a corporate membership elsewhere :(

    Amex Merchant Fees of 1.639%

A more frequent injury that I would have initially guessed. What are you guys doing out there? I thought golf was non-contact!

RTW gurus...am I on the right track ?

Pretty sure that Dave's point was that the AA ATW desk will be knowledge, and actually understand rules of the ticket you are buying. Then you can flip it to the TA if they discount the AA price.

difference in distance between 'earned' or 'usage' mileage

The points calculator,https://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/do/dyns/InitialPointsRedeemed, is showing 4783 miles, Zone 5. Has this changed since last night?

    Amex Rewards Maximiser - declined

Doesn't really matter how people try to look up your details. Surely your business has a phone line? Seems like a pretty standard way of checking if your business actually exists.

Amex Rewards Maximiser - Increase in annual fee

Re: Watch Amex that they don't charge monthly fees from the Seems to happen to most. Quite an unimpressive and deceptive procedure, IMO. When I rang, I had to direct the guy on the phone to the website to show him it still showed first year free, after he told me it was a special offer...

    AA Platinum Challenge - Tips

Can someone explain what a reference like this will do? Does the reference to American Airlines mean that they will use this FF number, and no other airlines will?

QFF Program reviewed: InsideFlyer Nov 2005

Perhaps the negative perceptions due to the program changes have driven a much more negative view of the overall program than an outsider would have. It doesn't matter as much what the end position is, rather what changes were made to get there.

Is it illegal to lie on an a credit application?

Disclaimer - I am reporting this from a memory not known for its reliability The wife of Carl Williams, the (alleged) hitman for Melbourne (alleged) underworld figures, has recently been imprisoned for credit card fraud. Do a Google search for the details, but I think it involved applying...
