Just checked Manage My Booking pages on Royal Jordanian, Malaysian, SriLankan and Cathay Pacific websites with my upcoming QF booking. All worked fine. As others have suggested if this is a recent booking then details may not be available yet to other airlines.

On our trip I added our Aeroplan member numbers to the booking - having already joined - because you can redeem Virgin Australia flights through them. And being a QF points collector I have no practical use for Star Alliance points. Earn rate isn't as good as with Turkish Miles & Smiles but...

Did this exact trip last year to/from Geneva for only a little bit more combined with a Classic Reward to CGK from MEL. Only a couple of hundred more than what we have previously paid for an ecomony ticket from MEL in past years.

Use the Qantas multi city tool with Mel -Syd for Sector 1 and ANU - ATL as Sector 2. This will at least enable you to establish if the route is available and the availability of seats - which you can then call to book.

Use the multi city search tool with a MEL - SYD sector as flight 1 and MRU - CDG as Flight 2. MEL - SYD sector doesn't need to relate to Flight 2 in any way just as long as it predates Flight 2. Won't be able to book this way - unless you actually want the domestic sector - but can check...

I've found setting up alerts on Flighseats.io to be very useful in finding available seats. It's confirmed to me that seats can and do become available from time to time. Also I'm fairly sure your QFF status has no bearing on your ability to see reward seats on non-Qantas flights.
