    QANTAS "Tweet & Greet"

Thanks - will check my social media before posting in future! @redroo, keep up the great work Qantas.

    QANTAS "Tweet & Greet"

@medhead - apologies, I must have missed it. Via DM or broadcast? I don't check QF's posts daily.

    QANTAS "Tweet & Greet"

Red Roo, great initiative, but why such a quiet announcement to your loyal P1 and P's? Some of us have unfortunately missed out.

QF Platinum One - good example of marketing and loyalty failure

Thanks for the feedback and opinions. I will reach P1 shortly and was hoping it was something above and beyond WP. Disappointing to hear it isn't for that much flying!

Your chance to see Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner in Australia

All current Boeing and Airbus Commercial aircraft have minimum ground clearance located at engines. For example: B777-200LR min 0.70m, max 0.88m B777-300ER min 0.73m, max 0.99m B777-Freighter min 0.79m, max 0.99m * Source Boeing May I ask how you "caught the pilot out?"

Double status credits points credited late and I lose out?

Great to see and congratulations on WP. Interesting experience I had that contradicts OP: My QFF year ran to 31MAY12. I flew SYD-MEL discount Y on 29MAY12. I was credited 10 SC on 29MAY12. My SCs were wiped on 01JUN12. On 02JUN12 I received 10 DSC from my 29MAY12 flight, contributing to my...

Does anybody fly Jetstar Business Max??

JQ430 MEL-OOL and JQ19 OOL-KIX, BusinessMax, were marginal at best. I understand JQ is a LCC, but "Business" really is misleading. Pros: - JQ19 seats + inflight service was somewhere between QF Y and Y+ - In-seat iPads were a novelty and worked well, with reasonable IFE movies + TV Cons...

    Great Platinum Service

Great to see some positive feedback, and a good example of what we need to pass back to QF when they do provide excellent service. Thanks dfcatch.

    Queue galley talk

For an airline that has safety as a core value proposition, and with Australia having total ADS-B coverage, I consider this a minimum requirement of Qantas, and it should have been a higher priority to ensure fleetwide compliance. JQ's A320/A330 product has been compliant for some time. To...

I am supposed to be QFF Platinum today but...

OP, I had a similar SG to WP qualification problem as yours. Check http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/qantas-frequent-flyer-program/newbie-wp-qantas-were-great-37470.html Summary: qualifier flight was <24h before an int'l QF. My SCs hadn't updated in the system, so I...

Approaches for dealing with 'electronic devices off'

Thank you everyone for the sentiment, suggestions, debate and opinions. Obviously a touchy subject, and I appreciate all efforts to address OP of how to deal with rulebreakers. One thing I'll note from reading all threads is, when you're next onboard and reading the QF magazine, have a look...

Approaches for dealing with 'electronic devices off'

I have noticed more and more pax keeping electronic devices (e.g. BBs, iPhones, iPads) on and active when crew ask that they are switched off. I usually see at least one or two around me, and generally, they look like frequent business travellers. I understand there is no direct link between...

Jetstar upgrade question - help appreciated

Update: called JQ (QF WP number directed me there), connected within a minute. Seemed like a simple request and $300 later had Bus Max. Could've risked an ODU I suppose, but if I have to fly the orange cancer, I'll try and do it as infrequently and comfortably as possible. Thanks for your help all.

Jetstar upgrade question - help appreciated

Fellow AFFers, I'd appreciate your help for an upcoming flight question. I am due to fly MEL-OOL-KIX on JQ in June. JQ since my weekend plans didn't align with QF's schedule, and I have to hit the ground running Monday morning. My question is, I am flying Starter Max, but I want to upgrade to...

You people are crazy. But in the very best way.

Game theory and SCs. I'm intrigued. Please tell us more? I can't quite see the connection. And welcome, of course.

    Great Work Qantas!!!!!

I also agree with OP. Have clocked up ~ 600SC in first quarter, and have noticed significant improvements. I try and notice the outstanding crew or desk agent's name in each instance, and post a thank you on Twitter and/or through qantas.com. It's nice to see that others are noticing the...
