Do you always select the seat if available?

I go best available that can be chosen. I fly last minute a lot so dont usually get much choice. I find myself usually going for the left side of the plane, no idea why - some freudian thing I am sure.

    Montreal or Quebec City

I would go the opposite from the crowd and spend more time in Montreal. Old port is great, excellent food, galleries, shopping and a six flags! What is the car hire like? I discounted doing one way hire as it was too expensive and did return drive from Halifax to PEI (bridge over, ferry...

Some of them are not expensive, I bought sunglasses there on the way out after checking prices in Melb retailers and the airport store was a little cheaper.

Because it doesnt make for a flashy attention grabbing headline if they dont embelish. These sites need you to click the stories so that you either tick over the ad counters that pay them, or tick over the story numbers to force you to use their full paid firewall site.

I asked for a stamp for my Son's passport and one was produced with a smile! Might depend on what sort of day the customs person is having.

I have a small light American Tourister (made by Samsonite I think) Spinner that has been with me for years and taken a beating. My toddler loves sitting on it while I wheel him around the airport and it hasnt complained yet. Love the look of the look of the Tumi but cant justify the cost...

My Worst Airport - Tullamarine, Melbourne. What's Yours?

As many others have said MNL is by far worst. Longest line I have ever been in was AUH - ten people wide and 200 metres long........ Also regularly takes me over an hour and a half to get out of JFK.

    Searching for Airfares

Have a look at your routing. Can often get cheaper if go different/busier routes - eg - LAX - SYD - BNE instead of through AKL.

    New York - Airports

Easy train out to EWR and nice manhattan views makes it hard to top. They are all busy though but in my experience is JFK can least handle the inbound load. Once took me 2 hours to LEAVE the airport.

    QF metal JFK to LAX
