As aircraft accidents are such big news, we tend to overemphasise the potential for one to occur over all the car accidents etc. Could also be due to it being out of our control... whereas if we think we're a good driver, we won't be in accidents. Though... last night driving back at 11pm...

Did anyone have an inkling about the sudden fall? Feels like something Soros would have made a killing from if he was in on it. It's astounding how quickly it fell... and it's cost some friends of mine a fair bit more for flights.

You'd seriously have to not care about $ if you bought F/J using own funds rather than business funds. There are so many ways to buy miles to generate 'cheap' F or J fares its great!

I'm not sure where I stand; I think if you travel budget; Ryanair is a great example; you don't pay extra if you don't want extra. i.e. the recent twitter farce about $100 extra to print your boarding pass. Personally I prefer a full service airline like Qantas.

Great video... had a chuckle at work and manager gave me funny looks. When's the earliest you can hit the lounge up? (Does the lounge close at midnight?) I have a 20 hr-ish layover so debating whether I want to just hang at the F lounge? Thoughts?

Is the consensus that the Gillard Govt has actually had good policy? I don't think NBN would have occurred with the Libs? Obvious that Libs are coming in though. I'm still not sure which way I will vote.
