If I had been offered a fee waiver I would have kept it too. In that case it definitely tips the value argument in favour of hanging on to it. Evidently, $4000 a month spend isn't good enough.

Bit of a joke really. The old Claytons status program. They already lost our entire companies business due to the inconsistent benefits and recognition. Oh well, Hiltons gain. I still try and stay personally from time-to-time, but NEVER at a Sofitel.

Anytime access was a fantastic benefit for the odd occasion you couldn't fly VA or picking someone up. It was very much abused and cut as a benefit as stated by Serfty.

Did a quick search with no definite answer. Is the SC earn rate exactly the same for Saver and Saver Lite ? I haven't flown a Lite fare before so not sure.

I think most feel the same way. I've been WP since it was introduced and I'm no longer flying solely with VA for the same reason. If I don't maintain with VA I don't really care anymore, its their loss. But if they are giving SC's away I'm happy to take them.

My wife and daughter are both Platinum but neither got an offer just me. Since I haven't got the 100,000 points for 300SC's I wonder if transferring one of the smaller amounts would result in the corresponding SC's. Would be nice to keep my families status going in addition to mine. A bit...
