I have done this Trip 3 or so times (indeed for as cheap as HK$9k return ex HKG). I have found it extremely good value compared to QF and CX. Flat bed is fine (indeed better than the Skybeds) and food is certainly edible (better than CX at times, not as good as QF though). Champagne served etc...
