Large release of Qantas Business & Economy reward seats to London & Rome

The app is showing no alternatives when I click through so I’ll just suck it up on this occasion. It does leave a bit of a bad taste though.

Large release of Qantas Business & Economy reward seats to London & Rome

Disappointed that Qantas have removed 787 Mel-Per leg of QF9. Now replaced with the 737 (QF775). Not surprised that they released the extra redemption seats then made this change.

To quit Amex or not to quit - that is the question

Once you've transferred the points out of the Amex MR account, they can't take them back when you close the AMEX account (unsure what they do if you are trying to defraud them i.e. large transaction, transfer out points, refund transaction, close account with negative points balance). Be...

To quit Amex or not to quit - that is the question

I had the platinum edge for a number of years and wanted to move to the explorer. While Amex would allow this they said I wouldn't get the bonus. Bit the bullet, cancelled the card and started the 18 month timer. In the meantime got my partner, who had been a supplementary cardholder on my edge...

    Citi cards - major changes

Cancelled my Prestigue card today, in the end the double whammy of changes to earn (particularly overseas transactions) and redemption (2.5>1 KrisFlyer) without a change to the annual fee was it. I was offered the usual 50% off of the annual fee, but this has been standard for me in the last...

Transferring citibank rewards points between family members

Yes it is possible. Be prepared for it to take a number of calls and regular hounding. You may also have to provide a written statement from the person transferring the points. Like most Citibank processes the customer comes last!

SQ Suites on A380 vs 777er First

I prefer suites, but they are starting to look a little tired (SQ still my first choice over other airlines). The Private Room is only ok in comparison to offerings from other premium airlines. If you've never visited the private room then go 77W otherwise, suites wins for me.

Krisflyer shocking moment [Citibank Point Tramsfers]

Definitely is, and seems it was a requirement from SQ side. Just another example of Citi getting it wrong!

Krisflyer shocking moment [Citibank Point Tramsfers]

This also happened to me. Unsurprisingly it was Citibank's fault. Citibank have updated their system now so that your name and KrisFlyer number are transferred over with your points. I resolved this by logging into Citibank rewards and taking screen prints of my transfers to KrisFlyer and...

    Gold/Platinum Hertz Upgrades

Similar experience have contacted Virgin twice and they advised they will chase it up, been waiting 3 months! Bit of a poor show to offer you something and then not deliver it.

    EY Upgrade Auction

It was resolved last week. It involved numerous emails and calls, eventually I emailed the Chief Executive explained that I was grateful for the opportunity to fly with Etihad as a partner airline, but it only works if the points and status credits are awarded. I got an email 5 days later...

    EY Upgrade Auction

There is a minimum bid, I went just over-mid way because that was what I was happy to pay. You are supposed to get a bonus of 10% bonus but I got zero points, still trying to get Virgin/Etihad to sort it out, think it may take a while! Its definitely worth doing if you can afford it.

    EY Upgrade Auction

I placed a bid for all 4 segments and won on them all. The only grievance I have is that in posting the points to Virgin I have been credited with 0 tier points and 0 miles for all of the segments. I don't know if this is because they booked it into x class which I think may be a the code for...

Which Energy Companies take AMEX currently?

Wouldn't you be better going for the Amex Lumo 10,000 bonus and 6 points per $ as opposed the Velocity Lumo 10,000 bonus and 6 points per dollar. That way you have a greater partner choice to deposit the points?

10K Bonus with AMX FX Transfers

Someone put up a separate forum post: http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/american-express-rewards/10000-amex-mr-points-transferring-37144.html Perhaps the mods can join them? Per my original question, does anyone knows if supplementary card holders also receive the 10,000...
