How long do the DSC normally take to post? Mine have previously been immediate with the standard credits, but I took a J flight yesterday and the DSC haven't posted yet while the standard ones have. Just wondering if I should chase.

Everything at Qantas is ranked. What position is your friend? Flight attendants are way down the list of priority, flight crew not too bad but the highest priority is senior managers. You could think you are on a flight and get pipped at the line but someone higher priority than your friend.

So effectively they are giving more benefits to non-status fliers than those that have status. Surely they could replace the (very valuable) Qantas Club benefit with something else for Gold and higher members? Points, SCs, upgrades, anything! Or at the very least make the membership...

If it’s the same ticket they have as it’s an IATA rule. Same would be even if you connected from virgin to Qantas to United in the same intinerary.

I remember it well. It was not well received but that was pre the days of credit card sign on bonuses. You get way more out of the program now if you fly and spend.
