Will Qantas have a March 2023 double status credit promotion?

DSC is a Qantas Loyalty initiative, and they don’t really care about your first three points. It will be interesting if status extensions impact booking volumes, maybe they will, who knows. But not long to wait to find out.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

On a recent DOH-SIN QR J service arriving into SIN at 9am, I was offered chips and popcorn for breakfast prior to arrival. No breakfast menu.

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

Interesting the variation in timing in this thread, my QR flights in July all credited within 24hrs. Very efficient.

    Yet another Qantas DISASTER!!

Why were you banned from Qantas? They usually do that to abusive customers?

Zeroing out Vs cancellation of flights

There is usually a delay between when it is flagged to be cancelled and when it actually happens in the system, sometimes the delay can be longer than usual if the Scheduling / Network team are under a lot of pressure which they are at the moment :) Revenue Mgmt can/do zero out flights to ensure...

Qantas double booking: staff member took precedence

More than likely the tech crew who were meant to be on QF433, the cancelled 10am. As others have said the traveller, if they didn't make a fuss, was more than likely a staff traveller.

Global Qantas Double Status Credits Offer (Book 20-26 Feb 2020; Fly: 28 Feb 2020-14 Feb 2021)

No, the credit can be used on any fare bucket. The value of the fare just has to be higher than the credit voucher. From the T&Cs ^ Credit vouchers are issued based on the terms and conditions of the fare purchased, and can only be used towards a fare of equal or higher value. Domestic travel...

    Fully Inflexible - A Rort?

As I said in your other thread - flight cancellations due to light loading happen weeks / months out from departure. Close in there is little to no cost saving. Can we please stop this myth about Qantas cancelling flights on the day of departure because of loads. It is not accurate I promise :)

BITRE 2018-19 domestic air stats.: punctuality declines; cancelled flights up by almost 25 per cent

Cancellations are more likely to be due to Mechanical / Crewing / Weather / ATC than planes not being filled. If planes are "not being filled" they are cancelled months from departure. This is standard airline procedure, if they are cancelled close in you still have to pay for crew so it...

    ADL QSuites 777-300ER

Do you have Expert Flyer, you can look at seat configs there! I had a brief look, and the days I looked at did have Q Suite config on the 777, but make sure to check the specific day before you book - and I guess be aware that the planes can always change..

QF domestic 28-day advance purchase Business Class - not worth the pain

I don't understand how seeing the fare bucket makes a difference.. the monetary outcome is exactly the same. For example. Bought I Class fare $650 + Fare Difference at airport to J Fare $500 = $1150 Bought J Fare on website = $1150 What benefit is there to buy a more expensive fare outright or...

Qantas. Perth Airport head to court

You're right! i read an article yesterday that said all other airlines (including Jetstar) had come to an agreement, but looks like that was incorrect and it is Qantas Group. Interesting.. Well they have more bargaining power doing it together I guess.

Qantas. Perth Airport head to court

Qantas doesn't pay Jetstar's airport charges.. They have completely different charges. I would argue that airports have much higher profit margins than airlines do.. At least MEL / SYD etc.

Jetstar pricing practices - are they illegal?

You've obviously had a frustrating experience! How annoying! The JQ call centre have access to the same fares, but they are not the same price as online. This is to incentivise people to book online. They shouldn't be hundreds of dollars different though. Maybe they don't know how to search for...

    Qantas site a mess

The general consensus in the thread in the Jetstar forum has been 4-6 weeks, which has been about how long mine have taken to post this year. I'm not saying there haven't been complaints, the process has definitely changed recently, hence the long wait times.. I would prefer they post quicker as...

    Qantas site a mess

Of course they use the FF number to post to Qantas???? They do automatically post if you wait long enough.. They used to post within a week, but recently it has taken much longer. And what makes you so sure that it is Jetstar, and not Qantas where the issue lies?

Struggling to get Points from Finnair Code Share

Exact same thing happened to me about two years ago, with a Air Berlin flight booked in Y (as part of a J ticket on Finnair). First they told me the booking class was ineligible, which is nonsense. And I hassled them enough that I eventually - a month later - received a phone call. The lady on...
