Westpac announced retail and mobile banking services were affected and have now been restored. EFTPOS was down but others were unable to use their credit cards. Believe whomever you choose to follow.

Cash is King. The banks do not want you to realise it works even when their data collection services, also known as credit cards, are not working - as usual.

Westpac goes down (again) today (in Oz) and only cash payments were possible. Yeah !! Lets eliminate cash and give the banks total control !! I am sure it will go well.

I thought the lounge staff were all Sofitel employees. It sounds like QF are now outsourcing the First lounge as a training ground for Sofitel. A bit like the IT department, and the overseas call centres generally. If it can be done more cheaply then QF will embrace it.

I gave up on QF to and from HKG ages ago. CX operates (with very few exceptions) when scheduled, and 4 flights per day to choose from from SYD.

As the Mercure Central City seems to be firming as the popular accommodation I have also booked Friday 6th and Saturday 7th.
