Can you elaborate on the transferring of points to AA and obtaining lifetime Plat membership? I also see AA have two tiers of Plat membership.

My wife and I have both gained Plat status last month. Obviously we would be happy to keep it beyond its Oct/10 validity and I look forward to positive hints here.
