Can I earn SC's when I fly on BA

It will depend on you class of fare. Check the Points earning table - if the class in which you're booked on BA does not earn points, then you won't earn SCs. The number of SCs again depends on your class.

Malaysia Airlines joining oneworld 1 Feb 2013 - Can MH flights earn QF SC?

My understanding is that the partner airlines determine which of their classes will earn points in any given airline loyalty program, so, in this case, Malaysian Airlines would have decided what classes they were willing to pay Qantas to award QF FF points (and the SCs go with the points?).

Melbourne / Broome direct QF service

Going via PER was actually my original plan, knowing that the better aircraft generally operate on that route, but, for various reasons, the timing of the direct flight works better on this occasion. Ah, well. I don't actually get to fly very often these days so any even reasonable flight will...

Melbourne / Broome direct QF service

Has anyone travelled the Melbourne / Broome direct QF service in the last year or so? I'm travelling next month MELBME (Economy) then back a week later BMEMEL (Business Award booking). Just wondering about the in-flight service, entertainment etc. Are there seat-back screens? What's on the...

    Getting a QFF card

I think getting a card is about $25/$30 whereas you would have paid $82.50 to join the QF FF program if you'd been living in Australia at the time.

    Riga vs Budapest

I've never been to Riga so can't comment on it but I can say that Budapest is one of my favourite European cities. Very beautiful! I loved it and Berlin so much in the brief days I got there on a round Europe tour that I went back and did a tour of Eastern Europe a few years later.

Any update on this one? Did you find the original owner of the Princess' shiny new toy?

Is it worth me signing up ?

As far as I'm aware, the flying four eligible QF sectors a year actually applies to attaining / maintaining the higher status levels, not to keeping points. To keep your points, you just have to earn or use some points every 18 months. EDIT: Oops. Just saw that Codash had already posted same...

    The totally off-topic thread

Off the new PM topic and on to another off-topic that popped up earlier in this thread. Hope the delousing works, Princess Fiona. Some people with kids suggest switching to a teatree based shampoo helps keep the nasties away.

Multiyear QP paide Membership when attained QFF Gold ??

Yes, once you get to Gold, your complimentary QC membership just extends your total period of QC membership. Effectively, you have free QC membership and then the remaining paid portion kicks in when you're no longer Gold.

    Not happy with Velocity...

I know you've spoken with them several times but, if you haven't already done so, I'd second following Josh's advice and send them copies of your e-ticket and boarding passes. That seems to work often for people chasing points in the QF FF program. Your ticket shows all your travel details, and...

Australian domestic travel 10 years on

A little longer than 10 years but.... I flew on Hazelton from Traralgon to Sydney via Albury for a weekend in 1995. The sole flight attendant on the way up had our refreshments (sandwich, muesli bar, apple and 'Prima' juice in brown paper bags) in a washing basket next to her small rear-facing...

Can you pass you FF number and points as part of your estate?

The terms and conditions on the website say no: "8.3 Membership will terminate automatically on the death of a Member. Points earned but not yet redeemed or transferred prior to the death of the Member will be cancelled. Qantas will close the Member's account on notification of the Member's...

Points expire quick after May/June 2010?

Earning points through a Woolies (Everyday Rewards) card will actually be the best way to keep points active if you don't fly much or have a credit card that earns points. (As mentioned above, it's the Family transfers that won't count anymore). I think it's happening at the end of June.

AFF - sometimes a bit 'blokey'!

AFF - sometimes a bit 'blokey'? Well, maybe, but I just consider it the nature of the demographic. It's Frequent Flyer group and, as has been pointed out somewhere on this thread already, it just a fact that those who fly MOST frequently for business in greater numbers do tend to be "blokes"...
