Don't the credit card providers (like ANZ) award 1 point per $2 spend and cap the points on a monthly basis? I like the scheme but think it would be very difficult to accumulate say 100,000 points as this would require $200,000 in bets.

Thanks John I like your idea of using my HPC membership for the second room and getting the 20% discount. I will call the property directly for confirmation as I know if I ring HPC they will most likely tell me that rooms must be occupied by HPC members to get the discount
