I mostly use Europcar, for the rates. That's been in Sydney, & well in advance, & they were cheaper & available compared to the others. Note - sometimes the rate is better when you check as a non-member than a member! And use Incognito in your browser. I've also happily used Economy Car Rentals...

It has somewhere on their site that AUSTRAC receives notification of transactions of A$10K, but you would expect AUSTRAC could also see anything - the recent Westpac issues talk about how AUSTRAC didn't get notified even of small inbound amounts. Someone is always tracking!

Thanks everyone! It's actually to receive the proceeds of a sale of an asset that's in the US. I want to keep the proceeds in US$ in the US, & be able to withdraw it when I'm travelling in the US, via a debit card or cash. 1580368751 yes that's right. I'll look at Transferwise!

Your other possibility it that you need a VPN app on your phone. I've found this with a few odd sites (including Sydney library!) - you set the VPN connection point as being Australia or Sydney, start the VPN, wait for it to connect, then try QF - the QF site should think you're in Australia...
