    For those with interviews at Sydney - I don’t think it’ll affect them as it’s run by the consulate official Department of State staff and not DHS. EoA on the other hand and ofc normal Global Entry will have issues. But MPC should still be available.

    You have 365 days to complete your interview for Global Entry. You can organize an appointment through the US Embassy in Singapore which runs Global Entry interviews 1 day a week.

    A normal AFP NPC costs $56 per application which is $280 over the 5 year span. The other costs would be most likely the GEP staff required to handle all of these background checks going forward including uplinking it to the US system.

    The primary reason that I can think of is the continuous annual background checks for 5 years. All built into the cost.

    They do need to implement a few more systems including the final cost recovery process which is rumoured to be around $300-$400, fixing any issues/increasing efficiency as per demonstrated in Stage 1 and then the gates will be opened up.
