Yes can turn off auto network selection and manually select EE and it will connect, so no big deal. Loss of 5G would be more annoying if I was stuck to one UK network, but with being able to switch between the UK networks to find the best 4G it's also no big deal.

I didn't care about the Qantas points, but this was the only plan on the market that included unlimited roaming calls/texts and 5GB of monthly roaming data upfront. A very useful plan for someone who spends most of the year overseas but needs to make and receive calls from Australian numbers...
