Thanks all. I forgot about this post. I'll go with the amex points for a bit and see how we go. And yes, I do still get points from ATO spend on a blue amex that I've held for the better part of twenty years - don't know if that's a grandfathered arrangement.

I've got few months until my QF anniversary and I don't want points to post before that point. If you've had some recently, how long did it take? I have of course read the ts&cs, which say min spend in sixty days, points posted 'within three months' of meeting that. Cheers.

I recently went to London from Perth for my brother's birthday to surprise him. EK DXB-STN landed Friday evening, back on board Sunday lunchtime. The girls in the F cabin said that was a first for them. EK's F is just so good I keep going back.

Ah. Looking back the itinerary dps-kul-lgk-kul-dps with MH in J was about a third of the price last I did it (19) for the same SC earn

I note that today QF's status calc: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/calculators.html#/ says that dps-kul and kul-lgk respectively yield 60 & 40 SC, so a 200pt haul for the return, which is pricing up at 1400 today, 7/sc. I'm sure these were closer to 3/sc when I last did this run.
