    Western Sydney Airport (WSI) Discussion

I don't get the focus some have on connecting the two airports. It's simply not justified. Transferring pax are relatively low versus other demand sources and generally have the choice to book from via the same airport. It would be well down the list of locations that WSI wanted to prioritise...

    Western Sydney Airport (WSI) Discussion

What would have you preferred. Werrington Kingswood??. St.Marys was already a large 4-platform station almost directly north of the airport. It's also getting a massive upgrade with a new aerial concourse with dual lifts to each platform. And I believe the Blue Mountains express services will...

    Jetstar adds Melbourne - Colombo

As above distance wise MEL- CMB is only a bit further than SYD-ICN so I suspect it fits into that East Coast to NE and SE Asia category. On the partner earnings, they could simplify the tables quite a bit. Eg. HK, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, China and Sri Lanka all have the same SC...

    Jetstar adds Melbourne - Colombo

Somewhat strange.. Note that Flex (or More) categorises as Economy.. the higher earning Economy Max packages were removed a while back. That said GCMap says it's 5443mi which should put it in the 45 SC category. Alternatively if the table for Aus East Coast to Northeast and Southeast Asia is...

AirAsia X Launches Kuala Lumpur-Bahrain-London (Gatwick)

Plenty here look for value, and if an LCC offers it so be it.. not for everyone though. Albeit a 3-leg flight to LHR with some average connections probably counts most out Looking at my openflights I've done 5 SYD-KUL returns on D7 and a KUL-PER. Mostly 2014-2018, found others including TR and...

    eSims, what is your experience.

Hard to know exactly what went wrong as every SIM and phone can be a bit different. But key items is the SIM needs to be selected. It needs to be the primary/data SIM and it needs to have Roaming turned On. Sometimes one needs to play with APN settings but that's pretty rare these days. As a...

    Jetstar reviewing Cabin Bag policy

I don't disagree. As mentioned you could fill it with gold bars and it would be very heavy. But it's a proxy, rather than taking three individual measurements, or picking it up, rotating it, placing it in a sizer. More the scale though.. maybe they were checking both measurements and weight.

Interesting. At entrance? What paperwork were you given. And which MH flight, given 3x daily.

    Jetstar reviewing Cabin Bag policy

Id think weighing luggage is quicker than using the sizer. And that's why weight has typically been used, because it's a simple proxy for volume which is generally the real constraint. Most luggage is full of clothes so fairly consistent density, not many carrying feathers or gold bars.

How can AFF contribute towards relaxation of bilateral agreements between Australia and other countries?

I daresay Aus - Indonesia is also one of the few competitive country pairs (along with NZ) where the Aus carriers use more seats than the foreign carriers
