I find it bit worry some that the booking is made by them and your name is just "a note" . I don't believe these bookings appear as an upcoming stay, on your bonvoy account does it?

Couldnt you apply one of the Citibank cards e.g. Qantas Premier. Yields 70K QFF and 0% BT, if you play your cards right.

I did the Plat challenge 2 years ago and is about to expire. I called to ask when its said to expire, they checked and said Jan19. The email I received said Feb19. Its now Feb, and I still have Platinum so I guess the email > what the call said.

I got the ANZ black card which netted me 100000 QFF @0 few months back. When I called to close the card I got offered 18 months 0% BT, so I took it. Hope that helps you.
