    Qantas Awards on Hawaiian Airlines

Thank you, I'll keep an eye on it as we get closer to the date. Lounges not really a concern as will be staying with friends.

    Qantas Awards on Hawaiian Airlines

Yes, didn't notice the difference in taxes, something to ponder. AS are certainly getting things together, I hope to take a paid flight with them next year.

    Qantas Awards on Hawaiian Airlines

Thanks @SYD . Hawaiian has become available in economy as well; not that I particularly want to fly Y but J not showing, probably from lack of status. My guess is there's not a lot in it, better to save the points.,

    Qantas Awards on Hawaiian Airlines

Qantas and Hawaiian are now showing award flights for the same route bookable through Qantas FF., Apart from the difference in mile/points required has anyone flown both and what makes for the better flight? e.g seating, service and food.

    A bit of humour

"The scientific theory I like best is that the rings of Saturn are composed entirely of lost airline baggage". "Forget all that stuff about lift, gravity, thrust and drag. An airplane flies because of money. If God had meant man to fly, He'd have given him more money".

    New Luggage Recommendations

I also have a lightweight, foldable back pack for essentials which I use for trips with transits and which folds very easily into a suitcase. It can also be used on the trip home for dress purchases,.

    New Luggage Recommendations

Agree with the request: have been thinking along similar lines although not sure whether I can fit all I want into HLO. I am going to do a trial run on a shorter trip with s other and see whether it will work or not. He can carry any excess if it doesnt work :)

Western Canada stopover recommendations (Feb 2026)

Thank you, that's helpful. It's difficult sometimes to sort through all the blurb and work out what will work for us. I saw the Rocky mountaineer advertisements years ago but the touristy hype leaves us less than impressed. Can be difficult to avoid these days. Good to know VIA works well.

Western Canada stopover recommendations (Feb 2026)

OT a little, apologies. Would you recommend VIA for e.g Vancouver through to Jasper or Prince Rupert through to the Rockies? And after the wildfires last year how long is it likely to take before recovery. Possibly this question needs to go on another thread, I am not sure where.

A question for the lurkers on AFF...

Was a lurker for many years and had limited time/inclination to post on social media. Helpful information from the Editor and members has encouraged me to post occasionally. The excellent TRs, very interesting discussions on occasions and usually respectful posts from members creates a good...

Been dithering around this for a while; can't quite get myself into sell and buyback.

    Updates to the Krisflyer Programme

That makes more sense as I wasn't familiar with Kris+,. Obviously trying to market in Aus. I wonder how widespread the usage is.

    Updates to the Krisflyer Programme

Email just landed in my inbox. "From 1 July 2025, the mix KrisFlyer miles and cash rate to offset the cost of flight tickets on Singapore Airlines and Scoot will be improved, where 100 miles will be equivalent to SGD 1. Similarly, the redemption rate for the three SIA Group entities, Kris+...
