    Qantas starts international wifi

As per Fri post. Thinks its 5/10 333s - QPF G H I J (Excluding the AY aircraft both wet and dry (QPK L) which have a bump but afaik the wrong antenna). (QPJ currently also on a slow world tour) On 332s believe it's still EBP and EBQ missing with 14/16 complete.. i'm guessing at this point that...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Not a delay but an odd flight. 787 VH-ZND Yam Dreaming currently operating as QF6011 BNE-RUH (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). I'm assuming it will be a quick turnaround, load up a few golf bags and operate RUH-ADL carrying much of the LIV Golf contingent.

Qantas refusing to fix "East Coast Penalty" on MH Business (D Class) - Sanity Check needed

It may be illogical on a SC / km basis, but it's a printed table that you can look at in advance and make your own choices about. Just like when the medium jar of Vegemite is cheaper than the large one on a $/ gram basis at Colesworths. They aren't going to change the price, you just pick the...

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

I'd think Silver/ Bronze access is similar to previous, other than they can now pay up.

Article: Airlines Are Not Very Good At Personalising Offers

Agreed they could be a lot smarter in what they do.. Indeed the Australian founded business Rokt, now head by ex-Jetstar CEO Bruce Buchanan makes its money doing exactly this, with it's post purchase ad network. Qantas at least seems to target it's offers based on where you live, or where they...

Qantas Not Recognising BA Premium Economy

And even if there was a mapped BA Premium Economy code it would still be 60 SCs just a handful more points.

Qantas Not Recognising BA Premium Economy

Need to look at the conversion tables. BA PE seems to book into W E or T, Which Qantas classes as Flexible Economy along with the three highest Econ codes (Y H B)

    A week in China - Where/What?

Believe in foreign countries it's only possible to pay out of an Alipay cash wallet which requires linking a Chinese bank account not foreign card. Though this site can reportedly test a 1RMB (about A$0.21) payment. https://testchinapay.com/?lang=en

    Qantas' New A321XLR

An interesting review of AAs 321XLR with lie flat seats. Hopefully whatever product QF chooses is better. https://onemileatatime.com/insights/american-a321xlr-business-class/

Sydney to Newcastle – Fulfilling a 31-Year Premier League Pilgrimage

Sane foundation year as a Melbourne based AFL team who wears similar colours, and arguably a similar working class support base. Also did the tour five years ago when visiting Newcastle. One thing that struck versus Aussie stadiums was the small size of the screens (not that EPL replays...

Qantas using 737 without seatback IFE for international flights?

Yep. The 15yr old PCs under the seats only have so much memory, so is supplemented with a streaming server. As noted above the newer 737s will have the seatback screens removed over the next couple of years as they are refurbed.

    Qantas starts international wifi

Will be interesting to see how much coverage this route (and SYD-JNB) actually has with ViaSat given how south the routes can be. And by the end of the year I think all 787s, 332s and 333s will have the hump.. the 380 is the possible outlier. 787 VH-ZNE now in HKG presumably getting fitted, so...
