    Singapore (SIN) Stopover Tips

I've seen them in the about half a dozen locations across the island. You never know where they might pop up. Including this one near the entrance of the Botanic Gardens:

Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

Jinxed myself there. No public transport from Bendigo to anywhere right now due to fires - not even rail replacement buses taking a wide berth around the fires . So $61 to get to airport by private bus. . Although my BIL drove me instead as he was taking my niece to Melbourne anyway. But...

    What cheeses me off

Cafes where the kitchen closes between noon and 1:30pm. Went to use a soon to expire Priority Pass ($36 credit) at the Urban Providore at MEL. They serve breakfast until midday, I asked probably the wrong question at 11am if I could get a burger and they said that only breakfast menu until...

The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

TBH, the big boost in Australian immigration from India with very little increase in capacity on direct air services between the two countries, has given SQ a huge boost, at least to MEL. Massive flows of VFR traffic and SQ seem to be picking up a lot of that judging by the demographics on...

The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

One thing is for sure SQ ain’t what it used be. As a Solitaire PPS it used to be a given that economy saver wait lists would clear. Now it’s almost never. Out of the last 20 economy waitlists we’ve had none .. zero zilch nothing … have cleared. Maybe they don’t want to give away cheap awards...

Unfortunately you haven't misread it. Though, nice that the overwhelming weight of comments were either attacking or mocking the post.

    What cheeses me off

Was reading a post on facepalm (posted early this morning) complaining about closure of national parks in Victoria today and how this was an unfair "climate lockdown" of Victoria. Then someone else complaining about excessive control by the government. FFS these people have no...

    What's your Uber experience?

Good luck! It's a frustrating challenge dealing either it is AI or UI.

    What's your Uber experience?

Uber should be able to request the Linkt statement from the driver for that day, which will show any tolls accrued during the specific start and finish period of the ride. I am guessing though someone could falsify that too.

    What's your Uber experience?

Even without the falsification, Uber should automatically refund everything but the two line items for the tolls. And this level of fradulent behaviour should raise red flags about the integrity of the rest of the journey. Even assuming he took the bridge, when travelling A->B->C->D->E instead...

    United to Fly to Adelaide

Might as well go to airlines (so travellers can get benefit) than all the other grifters that charge governments exorbitant fees because they can, whichever side of the ledger they fall (consultant, private sector company or union) 😂

    What's your Uber experience?

Toll prices can be found here: https://www.linkt.com.au/content/dam/linkt/common/qpu/q3-jan-mar-26/citylink-toll-pricing-jan-mar-2026.pdf If the vehicle did indeed cross the Bolte Bridge, it should be a single fee of $10.73. Three toll points together it should be $3.30 + $3.30 +$4.13. Only...

Lounge access MEL (MH flight ticketed as TK)

Please let us know. For accrual, Oneworld is largely driven by marketing carrier and star alliance by operating carrier. Not sure what the case is for status benefits.

    What cheeses me off

We were so lucky with the weather on NYE as we booked a Ute from Bunnings to get some new outdoor furniture and take some green and metal waste to the tip and collect some mulch. As the temperature was only about 16-17C we were spared the day trippers on the Great Ocean Road and we were able...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

This is exactly why I go for the HNML tends to be tastier than the one size fits all bland/seafood free/ovo-lacot/low carb/etc special meal. And it has Paratha, sometime Pappadums and yoghurt to go with it all. But you can also take your chances with the regular meal, unlike in J, say, the...

Luxury escapes launched Male direct flights ex Melbourne

On the flipside, accounting for transfers from Male to the end island destination, it probably means a mid morning arrival on the island and mid afternoon departure.

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

In any event it's not an issue in economy, easily manageable by pre-ordering a special meal. Why? There's no real disadvantage to option for special meals as there is no BTC or inflight menu pre-order to choose for your main. You can opt for "non-seafood" (NSFML) option or the "hindu non...

OK it's summer, it's beach time, and I mourn the loss of Australia's wonderful beaches, they feel worse than European beaches now. Cluttered and ugly as .... This week been down at the local beach near our holiday house, and several times we struggled to find a small patch of sand to put a...
