That is true, but Auckland Airport customs don’t open the gates to security and passport control until 4.30, so there is always a mad crush then for the first wave of flights to Australia.

Shame to say the Emirates lounge is currently closed for refurbishment and their passengers are being directed to the Strata Lounge.

never had an issue getting into the Emirates Lounge in AKL when flying Qantas as a WP. Only the usual warnings about no boarding announcements.
