As others have said that earn category table is unfortunately needed. Indeed until recently (1 Sep) all MH Business Class fare classes (J C D I Z) only earned as Flexible Economy for flights from Malaysia to/ from Aus, ME and Europe Inc UK, and Z class today still earns like that.

VS haven't even returned to HKG, from where they used to fly to Australia. Currently in Asia only fly to India (Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, and opening to Seoul and coughet in 2026. Almost like they are trying to avoid direct competition with BA these days.

Agree that VA has the prime position, but on my (admittedly small number) experiences the QF lounge has been perfectly Ok. The OOL VA lounge often seems to have better catering than SYD and MEL however The hours that impact those travelling on JQ are a bit penny pinching from QF however.

Equally though a small upcharge can prevent a 10-15min wait particularly when some are perfectly happy with a machine.
