Best to compare both but for me, seems better value (looking for saver on points) transferring VA to SQ then booking through SQ. That way also guarantees seat choice.

Still some value I think in transferring points (even if the exchange rate is a little poor), to SQ as they have some really low redemptions ex SIN and even some reasonable Saver travels from Aus. Personally we use our VA points mostly for SQ travel.

Still interesting that the costs are not in the public domain. I would.have thought also that a transition to Max from 320 would also be a positive within the bid.

Yep tell that to the banks, airlines who insist on self tagging, cashless society, list goes on.....RYR are by far not the only ones. If pax don't like it it's easy as with everything RYR, just simply don't fly them.

Seems ok with all other one world operators. As usual it's more likely than not QF are the issue on this matter. They just don't want you to fly anyone else but themselves. The worst one world member out there is QF.

I struggle to see where QF actually truly competes in the true sense of international airline competition. They have it good. They have a LCC called Jetstar. They manipulate rather than compete. Personally I've never seen a truly competitive international flight cost with them. I'm not saying...

Yeah I have just compared VA code share on SQ metal to Hanoi from Perth. Biz class results in 700 dollars difference flying with VA number against SQ!! How can that ever be justified or even allowed? Same flights.and from what I see, same conditions of ticket.

If I recall correctly, I did this as tag flights in the past (within last 3 years) on AY ticket but using CX metal while chasing BA tier points.

It's a gimmick. QF should block it for status pax if loads allow. It's another money making process.

Yep I think it's kinda 'gimmicky".. and.it was not that long back that Virgin had another stupid thing which was a middle seat thing...sit in the middle and.get a prize or something..🙄....how about just offering Platinum something more worthwhile.
