    The big multistorey car park between T2 and T3 (P1 and P1/P2 but not P2) has now been demolished. Just an outdoor car park there so it is easy to cross over from Shiers to Keith Smith. They have erected undercover but outdoor walkways from terminals to P2 to make it slightly easier. No issues...

    Good news, it appears the fix will be completed prior to the EAD taking effect in approx 12hrs Now, what was in the previous software (that they have now rolled back to) that required an update and why?.

    Especially when the EAD suggests that the worst case scenario might be an uncommanded elevator input that may result in a situation that exceeds the aircraft's structural limits.

    Perhaps the larger operators will have them, as software upgrades periodically occur. However planned upgrades could be done at maintenance checks which may mean smaller operators won't have them relying on maintenance outfits?

    The solutions are to roll back the software to an earlier iteration or replace the ELAC computer. But if the spare hardware is also affected, it can't be used.
