Article: Airlines, Please Stop Selling Ridiculously Tight Connections

I’ve done 45 min SQ even with a late arrival making it 25 and luggage made it too. SIN is a miracle airport. And NRT to HND in 3 is pretty doable but you don’t want any issues. You should be at the bus area within 30 min of arrival, typically. There is an express train that only takes 60...

    What cheeses me off

Same. But in the defence of (one) bank, I got my interest rate reduction email in full about 48 hours ago. (Bankwest)

You’ve made your one formal complaint: why waste time? Just go to afca and detail the issue and the remediation requested

Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

I suspect it’s mainly the medicos and those rural folk here who may understand quite how pivotal Rex is in certain areas to the delivery of life saving medical services, and likely other infrastructure and non medical services too. “Let it collapse and then figure out the rest” is not possible...

Qantas' Impending Change to Tokyo Flight Schedule

Yeah. Absolutely depends. Tbh if the Skyliner or Nex get there then I’d be on a train anyway, because it’s nicer than sitting in traffic and quicker, regardless of who is paying.

WhatsApp spam from Novotel Melbourne Airport

That hang up thing is really annoying. The hotel just hangs up on you after about 39 seconds on hold.

Reconsider your need to travel areas

Thanks. I’ve not seen that exclusion in any policy prior. I note SCTI seem to be their own insurer and not also underwriter by Allianz, which suggests that any company that resells either (if any exist) would also have such exclusions

Reconsider your need to travel areas

Yes, I haven’t come across a policy that doesn’t cover this.

    What cheeses me off

It’s pretty limited. Old people shouldn’t get it, no, due to potential (rare) side effects. Mostly those who were pregnant or had hiv when immunised or extremely high risk travel.

    What cheeses me off

Yellow fever is now lifelong. “As of 16 June 2016, Australia considers an ICVP to be valid for the life of the vaccinated person.” Boosters recommended only for certain subgroups.

Reconsider your need to travel areas

As I say, single trip policies are the default for most and probably account for 80-90% if policies issued. You can insure any length of trip. In fact, there is no insurer I’m aware of that doesn’t issue single trip insurance, while many do not sell annual cover. Go to any insurance quote site...
