Double Status Credits - QBR Exclusive (October 2025)

I wonder if it will qualify if one is able to add the ABN to a CR over the phone; is this even possible? I've had success getting missing QBR points added after a paid flight by phoning and adding a missing ABN but, of course, CRs don't earn points (only SCs for points club members)

Double Status Credits - QBR Exclusive (October 2025)

Yes, I was referring to booking a classic reward through the Business Rewards portal; you need to have sufficient points in your QBR account to book a CR. Of course, there is no problem booking a paid ticket.

Double Status Credits - QBR Exclusive (October 2025)

That's interesting. I tried to book a flight and the "Select" button was greyed out with a note stating "insufficient points".

Double Status Credits - QBR Exclusive (October 2025)

The issue with this (at least for me) is that you need to have sufficient Business Rewards points in your account to be able to book through the Business Rewards portal whereas most of my points are in my personal account. I don't know of a way to transfer personal points to Business Rewards...

Are you a yay or nay to Avios subscriptions

Perhaps keep an eye on the exchange rate and hope for an opportunity to buy at a better time.

Are you a yay or nay to Avios subscriptions

Given the lack of availability using QF points, it's good to have an alternative currency, especially one that can be used for QR.

Oneworld Classic Flight Reward Discussion - The Definitive Thread

I agree it's nonsense but unfortunately this error has been hanging around for a number of years. Sometimes the computer/agent counts a surface sector two stopovers, sometimes correctly as one.. I've never been able to figure out why and unless you get an experienced agent in HBA there is no...

Should be; the points will come from QF Hotels not Accor.

    Article: Priority Pass Lounge Guide

My son and his family (total 5 persons) are departing from NRT on Jetstar in January. (I guess we have all had to do such things when travelling with 3 kids.) I think JQ depart from terminal 3. If I am reading the Priority Pass website correctly, there is no PP lounge access in terminal 3...

Are you a yay or nay to Avios subscriptions

My Avios subscription is up for renewal again in 12 days. When I initially took out the subscription at GBP455, it worked out to be just on $800 for the Traveller level (thanks to Liz Truss); now with the current exchange rate it's around $940. I'ld be tempted to end it except that new...

Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

For those that have signed up to Binge, what's the content like? I realise that we're all doing it for the SCs but I would feel happier if I knew that there will be something I would like to watch.

    Superannuation Discussion + market volatility

Yes indeed. When it comes to government borrowing I support it for infrastructure, but not for recurrent expenditures. Let's take the example of the Sydney Harbour bridge. Who should have paid for its construction: those paying tax in 1936 or those who will/continue to get the benefit of its...

    Superannuation Discussion + market volatility

To be fair, you need to acknowledge that those oldies who are self-funding their retirement are saving the government(s) significant sums each year. A couple drawing the maximum Age Pension ($46,202) plus rent assistance ($5,278) is drawing over $51k from the Federal budget; add in various...

Credit Card Offers Amex Platinum Card Benefits, Offers & Discussion

I should have added that there is nothing to stop me claiming against the Amex for something unrelated to my pre-existing conditions when the benefit is better. However I do need to take an additional policy so that medical expenses resulting from pre-existing conditions are covered.
