Yes, all valid concerns then. I'm usually quite able to fight my way through this crowd and find a seat, get a few drinks and mentally chill out. If I get annoyed, it's usually because of more important things.

Well, I'm happy to say that I have now cancelled this Hertz rental and my VA flight from SYD to OOL. Instead, I've booked a cheap JQ flight from CBR. I guess I can survive it for an hour and a half, particularly after a little liquid fortification in the Qantas business lounge beforehand.

I don't believe that it is back up, and would be surprised if it ever is. Don't forget VA is now an LCC.

I've got a flight out of Domestic next month and have booked a Hertz car from CBR to SYD (need to get there early), but will be dropping off at Intl amd getting the Govt bus to Dom. I think that's going to be less hassle than driving to Hertz' obscure location near Dom and getting a bus. YMMV.
