Qantas Cabin Baggage Survey Results Email

Nope, only Qantas in the last few years. Are the people that fly on those airlines not total morons incapable of handling their baggage efficiently or something? Rude, or accurate?

Qantas Cabin Baggage Survey Results Email

The difficulty is that a large percentage of passengers are braindead idiots who are incapable or uninterested in following basic rules. It should honestly be 1 item only, I'd even support removing all carry-on that won't fit under your seat.

Forget about long haul Y, who's going to actively decide to fly Qantas Int. J when not incentivized to do so? They aren't even the 3rd best option flying in and out of Australia and are generally the most expensive.

Maybe we will find out just how sticky people are through all of this :)

Domestically that may be true, but internationally? Good luck.

Or are they sticky because of the current arrangements?

Not sure how similar BA and QF are honestly, outside of being "National Carriers". Markets, geography and destinations are all vastly different. I think people forget how unique Qantas' circumstances are sometimes.

Qantas surveying members about spend-based status attainment

I think I have made this point before but something to consider would be the impact on the international business as a byproduct of changes to domestic passenger behaviours. Qantas has a relatively weak product in the international space and I imagine QFF loyalty helps them significantly here...

    Corporate travel policies

It was a joke 😆 Another problem with some policies, different people have varied perspectives on what is fair and reasonable. One thing I have noticed is that per diem spending caps tend to fall over the more diverse the travel becomes. I can tell you in Asia particularly, there is a world of...

    Corporate travel policies

Or making you fly at ungodly times, how am I supposed to fly Brisbane to Karratha in one day if my dad isn't even awake to give me a kiss on the cheek before I leave in the morning?

It would not be difficult to solve this issue directly through the ticketing system either.

    What to do about noshows?

The airlines have a great deal of information about passengers, it would be easy to penalize the repeat offenders. Pretty easy to provide a medical certificate / stat declaration in the event of genuine medical issues.

    Corporate travel policies

You can always audit a handful of people each year at random, however, if you're that worried about whether people are going to take the piss with company money there are probably bigger issues anyway. My point is that you want people to comply with the intent of a travel policy and thus avoid...

    Corporate travel policies

Part of the problem, is letting other people organise travel for you. The best way is to book your own travel and just charge it to a company card.

    Corporate travel policies

Give people as much personal choice as possible, the focus should be on "Not taking the piss" if you get intent behind the policy right everything else will sort itself out.

Qantas surveying members about spend-based status attainment

Would be interesting to see if this pans out, there are a LOT of people who use DSC periods to hit the required SC thresholds each year. They need to avoid giving people a reason to look elsewhere, particularly with regard to the international business segment where they are weakest. People...

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

When people request the backup upgrade from Y to PE, is this an option in the business upgrade window or do you just apply for both upgrades simultaneously? I've never had to do it before.

Work pays of course, but I am fortunate to be able to book all my travel independently. Point was mainly that there can be a lot of $500 - $700 and 20 SC return flights each year to get to 300 SC.

There are certainly two sides, it's pretty wild when you're buying a heap of BNE to SYD, MEL, ADL & PER in Y every year (for work) and barely cracking Silver.

This is actually spot on, I would probably never fly Qantas Internationally again if they removed the loyalty incentives.
