Your favourite photos taken of/from a plane?

Just over a year ago, Qantas MEL F lounge view over a morning coffee. ....waiting for breakfast.

Have you been on a flight that diverted?

Back in the late 90's was flying from Mt Isa to Townsville on an F28 when the pilot made an announcement that I didn't quite hear as I was down the back near the engines. The hostile came around about 5 mins later and asked if I was going to Townsville or Cairns. I said Townsville, she said...

    Qantas domestic economy meals

Very much so. A pizza slice sounds good at 35,000 feet but did they test how it would look (and taste) after leaving the catering line, sitting in a warmer for a couple of hours before being served?

The view or two from my "office"

The amazing spring weather rolls on in Canberra. Hall Markets this morning, good spot for Christmas ideas, coffee and a sausage and onion sandwich for breakfast. Got a flat "no, don't even ask" from Mrs Nut. ...there are more stalls than this....

The view or two from my "office"

Downtown Yass, was busier than it looks...well kinda... Then a quick stop at McKellar Ridge Estate for a spot of wine tasting on the way home. Nice range of reds and whites. It's not one of the more commercial vineyards, they only produce less than 15,000 cases a year and the owners do the...

    Little things I like

We had a similar experience driving back from Melbourne, before Euroa. I was hungover AF and Mrs Nut was on the peddle, doing a good 115 k's (ok, slightly over but with the flow) when all of a sudden "coughk, ducks" "WTF - DUCKS!" Somehow a family of ducks crossed two lanes of the Hume unscathed...

First claim ever on travel insurance

Goodluck. We've made a claim with 1Cover, not a problem. We even had real people call us who knew their stuff. Once we got all the docs together, the claim was approved and paid. HOWEVER, 1Cover only paid half the total amount and said we had to claim the other half from Westpac Allianz as they...

    Qantas domestic economy meals

Gourmet pies tend to be a bit lighter on weight. A family friend use to supply Qantas with onboard catering and said he had to make baked items (back when Qantas use to have a bun etc with the economy meal) to a specific size and weight etc. Probably find a stack of 140g pies with packing would...

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Took me 24 years to reach LTS and even then, only got across the line from a recent burst of international flex J fares for work. When I had a couple of SG runs over the years, getting to LTS was not even on the radar. I'm happy though, no more economy check-in ques when travelling One World!

Went to the Art & Sky exhibition at the Learn2Fly hangar at Fairbairn, Canberra. Not a large but really good exhibition in amongst the light aircraft. Highly recommend.
