Quite likely. I find it hard to believe that Qantas sees LTG as a liability and a cost burden. I'm guessing most who have made it to LTG are either more likely to be all over the upgrading to J caper, or wanting to keep platinum, or more able to afford J, in which case LTG is not even necessary...

You can opt for the 50 SC bonus when you get 500 SC's, so you only need to chase 240 SCs....

Re: Double status credits 2/3/17 - 6/3/17 It was booked Y sale, so yes I had to pay a fee, $100, IIR. It was worth it as it got me to SG for the first time. Without it I would have been about 240 SC's short.

Re: Macquarie based cards glitch Yup, I got the same email and text messages. I phoned up and got the same spiel. I've checked my creditsavvy rating and can't see any new credit check. I'll check again next month to see if it's a timing thing.
