Thanks. For simple itineraries I prefer to use airline as easier in the event schedules change (which is quite common these days). Good to know its mainly qf website creating restrictions, so can weigh up options. Of course it would be better if qf didn't create these obstacles.

Depending on the gate and when you turn up to gate the priority security lane may be hard to see. The D gate on the bend has very narrow entrance but there are two lanes - priority and other. The C gate at the end has more clearly visible priority lane. Of course if arrive at gate 15-20 mins...

In T3 security is mostly shared between two adjacent gates. A few have more gates shared but generally won't have more than a couple of flights leaving from those gates within a short period of time. Still much better than centralized security screening for predictability of how long it will...
