I don’t think it is mentioned as a benefit, more just something certain hotels choose to do. I’ve had some of these at some Hilton hotels in Japan this month, but not all.

I would hope that Newcastle Airport is able to get Qantas or an independent provider to set a lounge, as it’s desperately needed. It gets more traffic than other small regional lounges, including business flyers at certain times. I remember pre-Covid when only Jetstar was flying from Melbourne...

Agree - was in the Mel house lounge last week, and found it to be quieter, with better service and food compared to Amex / Qantas Bus lounges. I was pleasantly surprised and it was a great way to start our holiday!

Good the bonus points posted immediately for the Marriott transfer. For comparison, Hilton points transferred instantly for me, however, no bonus included. Guess that will be a few weeks away, per the T+C allowed timeframe.

As an Accor Plus Platinum, I often find hotels don’t have my room flagged for included breakfast… so I find having a physical platinum card useful as it quickly sorts the issue. Yes it’s a tad annoying… but in the grand scheme of things it’s really just a inconvenience thanks to their coughpy IT...

Yep same, finally able to get my upcoming trips added via the bot. I found that I had to temporarily remove my middle initial i profile in order to get some work trips added… so it’s a pointless check that can be bypassed… but painful to have to keep changing. No e-tickets, no passengers…. But...

Yep I’m with you on this one… if a paid upgrade is available then clearly a space available upgrade should be available to gold/diamond members. Interesting, I noted that the Hilton T+C’s don’t guarantee a space available upgrade and this I expect some properties are leveraging to only offer...

No, there was no special breakfast offering for Platinum members and personally I've never seen this at an Accor property. That being said, it was above what i expected for a Novotel breakfast (but as mentioned in my post so where the prices). Not sure I would call Mercure a higher end property...

Same - email appear to be automatic. Based on the FAQ it would seem that a 'stay' is defined as per the regular Hilton T+C's.
