Not a fan of this tactic at all. They are messing their customers around intentionally, not sure how well that will work for them in the long term.

No they didn't charge me anything. He said he was able to nab 2 packs from the back which is pretty cool. I'm not sure if they can do that regularly, I think he felt bad that they had run out of my first choice which was the pasta.

Tried the pies snack from economy, in J today. I had already had the chicken on the last flight so the attendant made up 2 snack packs of the pies for me instead. They weren't too bad.

I've noticed lately that virgin are advertising and selling seats on flights from SYD to CNS and CNS to SYD only to cancel the flights the day or night before in order to consolidate passengers on fewer direct flights. It happened to me in both directions on this trip. It's very frustrating...

I wonder for how long they will keep announcing the entire onboard snack options and pricing over the PA system. Surely everyone in economy should have a menu with all that information available to them.

SYD to CNS today the choices were chicken and rice or some kind of vegetarian pasta. We both went with the chicken. It was decent enough, and to my pleasant surprise, it seemed to be breast meat. Was definitely on the smaller side but we weren't too hungry after having something at the lounge :)

I used to have a Corona or a Calton dry, or even a tap beer would be a welcome sight and preferable to the current line up! Something refreshing, full strength, full carb and not in a can. Not a fan of ales, of which there were a couple. Maybe I'm a tad fussy lol

In the sydney lounge having some nice pumpkin soup and beef noodle salad for lunch today. Unfortunately the selection of beers is absolutely woeful. Got a cider instead, there's only one cider to choose from but at least it's something with a hint of crispness to it.

No it just says platinum. The annoying part is that the first person I spoke to from velocity was quite dismissive of the whole thing. At one stage she said something to the effect that I was on an extension anyway like as if I should just be grateful for that. I couldn't be bothered reminding...

Same deal for first flights out of cairns in the morning. And there's no lounge there to have breakfast in :(

Yeah i was pretty surprised. They have escalated the matter to be investigated by the relevant team. In the mean time at least they allowed me to use 4 upgrades for the trip I wanted to book today as they might not still be available in 3-5 business days when they are finished investigating
