This one isn’t bad but it doesn’t really have a big bang! I had it last week on a MEL-SYD and it fills you up but there could be more in the rice and maybe some greens to accompany.
I had pretzels on this eves Syd mel and abstained from the teriyaki or beef salad which seems to be the flavour...
Domestically I wouldn’t even bother…there’s always someone to fill the seat. I usually one get a spare on a day of travel delays where it’s all out of whack
Unlucky…I wouldn’t take it personally. Maybe buy a lotto ticket in a few weeks when your luck turns
I do one of these routes weekly and can’t recall a cancelled flight tbh…usually a few mins early…touchwood that continues
Because I don’t know in advance for a one or two hour flight. Catering on such short services shouldn’t really be a big focus IMHO
We are venturing off course so will refrain from any further comment otherwise it’ll turn into the endless data points and opinions in the priority boarding thread.
From my understanding thank you for acceptance is your key! I got this to the Thursday dinner in Sydney where for an another event last year I got placed on the waiting list and got a call up closer to the event as I took too long to accept.
4.15pm has always been a snack service - got to be after 5pm for dinner.
Im not a proponent of pre-ordering for domestic as I rarely eat on it nor do many other pax on the time of day flights I take
Just look at expert flyer before your flight and if there’s an X next to you then it’s actively blocked
For P1s it’s most flights unless chokkers and for WP it’s mainly on international if you’re lucky
I think that’s a pretty good outcome! I do this route pretty much every week and feel for the pax in either row 3 or row 7 as they have no chance.
If you get a seat choice please choose neither as flight time is just too quick. Most crew do a pretty good job given time constraints. I’ve even...
That is disappointing as AA gives you an escort through and has a far superior checkin facilities. I’d recommend coming back via lax and outbound on the QF3 where possible
Just leaving MEL dom J shortly
I love this time of year where the holiday makers are at their destination and corporate travel hasn’t fully resumed…very peaceful and spacious.
Couldn’t find a neat place to put this but thought QF was very proactive on my MEL SYD today. Our crew hadn’t arrived yet so there were other crew on the ground who volunteered to board the entire plane while the crew ran across the airport to minimise delay. Handed out waters as they do...
It is very typical to be quieter at this time of year which can be hard to explain to North American companies
It’s the high yielding corporate pax that are the backbone of the QF domestic business rather than price sensitive leisure travellers. If the lounges aren’t back in full swing in two...
I would suspect something is coming soon.
I’m back on the road and suits are very few and far between and lounges are empty. I can book my flights the week before and still get discount fares atm. I’ve had colleagues get op ups on the Syd lhr route on points for their personal travel. JAN...
About 80% for work, and then as others have alluded to, I try to travel exclusively on points for my leisure travel. I’m quite flexible as only looking for a single ticket and not really constrained in terms of times I can take leave.
