Does it have to SQ or a Star airline? I was looking recently for almost those exact dates and found plenty of availability on BA. Getting back to SYd was a problem though. When I did look at SQ, I thought AMS had some availability if you could transit.

Just did a dummy rewards booking on SQ. Looking to go from Syd into Europe so chose to fly into AMS. As I am looking to go soon I managed to find some flights (seems to be on the 777). But the surcharges came in at $1100. Is this about right? I have never redeemed with sq before.

Just out of curiosity how easy are people finding cx or qf availability in j out of syd up to hkg? And from hkg in j to Frankfurt or other euro hubs?

It's a shame hkg is ruled out from .br. No real difference between qf and cx for the travel period on the aus site so cx is likely to get the fare given the schedule benefits. Shame for qf
